Review of Blade: Trinity (2004) by J.d. N — 30 Apr 2010
Blade: Trinity rounds out the trilogy by losing much of what made the first two so great - the ultra-violent vampire-killing is replaced by snarky humor courtesy of newcomer Ryan Reynolds. Add to this the fact that now Blade (Wesley Snipes) is up against Dracula (Dominic Purcell). Throw in a dash of Jessica Biel as a vampire hunter and this becomes a mess. By far the weakest of the trilogy, seeming to have been done to accommodate the masses and being made simply to make the franchise a trilogy. Snipes brings his typical Blade character, but the rest do little more than bring him down.
My rating: C / 2 stars.
Ranking out of Marvel Comics movies: 13 out of 20.
