Blade Trinity tries to culminate the series by having Blade (Snipes) fight the legend himself, the oringinal badass blood sucker: Dracula. Where's he been all this time? Iraq? Given the political climate at that time, even I had to snicker at that.

This film definitely tries to get back to the roots of the original film with less obvious computer effects and more actual correagraphed combat. They even bring in new characters and elements that work on some levels but ultimately feel forced on the audience.

Truly this movie feels like the creators set out to have Blade fight Dracula, a fight that could in theory have lasted 20 to 30 minutes on screen and threw in some other stuff to make the movie over an hour.

Wesley Snipes still delivers the Blade attitude I love, plus all the action he gave in the others. But, even I have to admit it's getting a bit old.

Having guys like Ryan Reynolds and Paul Levesque (aka Tripple H) in the film is cool, but they don't really contribute to the film anything more than quips and more fighting.

The ending wasn't very satisfying either, and in all honesty felt kind of corny. Not quite the dignified end to the series I wanted, but anything more would be an insult. This series of Blade movies have run their course, and while it wasn't great it sertainly wasn't horrible. So lets let it retire graciously and with dignity.
