Review of Blade: Trinity (2004) by Tero H — 17 Oct 2012

This is the worst of the trilogy in my view.

+ nice fighting sequences, Jessica Biel, and there are lots and lots of action and special effects.

- then again, there is nothing else but simple action and special effects in this movie.

-- incredibly stupid dialogue and so called 'jokes' which all go under the waist line.

- count Dracula..! To me it looked like dracula of this movie was a crossover between 'the scorpion king' of the Mummy-movies and 'the Beast' from the tv-series 'Angel' season four. Not cool, although the prosthetic or makeup was well done. There were also tons of corny moments with the nerdy looking 'mr.Q' , the double-o-seven:ish gadgets and the vampire-dogs who had jaws like the vampiric creatures from the second movie..

Sure, the first third of the film was very interesting and well done, but when the 'Nightstalkers' came in, and Dracula actually was called Dracula, the whole thing went downhill the rest of the movie. If the bad guy had been called something else, maybe had something special about him in addition to being stronger that the rest, and if the Nighstalker had been replaced by just Jessica Biel's character, maybe working with Whistler and Blade, then this movie could have been a classic. However, that wasn't the case in my opinion.

Summa summarum: There was so much that annoyed me, that it overshadowed all the cool'ish things. I still think that the first Blade-film is the best in the series.
