Can't believe all the good reviews. As if they watched a different film to me. This Bladerunner sequel is filled with so many defects:

1. Ryan Gosling's inability to move his face or emote is painful to watch. Maybe he was asked by the director to play an android and not a replicant, but Harrison Ford's Deckard, also a replicant, expresses more in 5 minutes than Gosling does in the whole film.

2. The film is filled with pointless scenes only to show off CGI special effects. From Gosling's holographic girlfriend, to holographic performers of yesteryear, the film is filled with scenes that impart no plot, no information and no emotion.

3. Scenes with Jared Leto's Wallace are poorly written, pretentious nonsense which make no sense and again do not advance the plot.

4. Inexplicably the film opens showing vast fields of solar energy arrays, only to present a world without sunlight and looking ecologically devastated. If the main source of power is renewable then surely the planet would look much healthier, instead it shows a polluted metropolis.

5. The film is too long by about an hour, largely due to the poor pacing, poorly directed dialogue scenes, and as mentioned before, pointless scenes showing holograms and other CGI created vistas that have nothing to do with the flimsy plot.

An empty film that could not end fast enough.
