Overblown, pretentious, and interminable. Not a patch on the magnificent original. None of the reviewers seems to have noticed that the plot makes no sense and the script is full of cringe-inducing clichés.
The dead, emotionless pounding of the soundtrack, evidently intended to distract audiences from the narrative and thematic vacuity of the product unspooling in front of them, just gave me a headache. Pretty visuals, though.
