This movie is an absolute masterpiece. Movie lovers know how rare it is for sequels to meet the expectations of the classic that came before them. But in rare occasions (like Godfather 1 and 2) they pull it off.
Not just by being an equally great movie, but by moving the story forward in a way that feels consistent yet creative. One thing I really want to mention about Blade Runner 2049 is that it finished in such a way that just screams for a 3rd part.
But with this movie having done so poorly at the box office I fear it may never happen, or be so far off into the future that I might not even be around to see it.
