A fantastic movie. I absolutely loved it. The visual effects, combined with the soundtrack, was amazing. I can't wait for it to be released to own so I can watch it over and over.

I read somewhere recently that some people are criticizing it for its depiction of women. This is a real concern right now, and I'm glad. However, this story is set in a dystopian future (dystopian: ...a community or society that is undesirable and/or frightening - Wikipedia). No one in this future has a happy fulfilling life. That's what makes it so interesting. It's a future where society has failed, and everything is falling apart.

The one thing I really don't get, though, is why the character Luv is so weepy. She's basically a psychopathy. Why is she crying? Do psychopaths cry?

My favorite character is Joi. It seems like she's broken through her programming limitations, and become something more. Or has she? This is something Blade Runner does so well. Is Deckard a replicant? Is the dog a clone? Does it matter? I love it.
