Review of Blade Runner 2049 (2017) by M C — 12 Nov 2017
Pretemtious, slow and quite boring. The suspense is stretched to a level that it drags. The sound design is over the top, loud and mismatched with the volume of the dialogue, trying to make up for the lack of real action.
They could have left 45 minutes on the cutting table and edited in a way more interesting way. It could have started with the visit to the memory doc. The production design of course was top but that's it.
I don't understand how anyone could have enjoyed it since it's without doubts a bummer. I was really happy when it was over to walk out of the theater. And they complain of poor box office results.
