Review of Blade Runner 2049 (2017) by Pixelcraftables — 06 Oct 2017
A fantastic visual spectacle in which the scenes speak stronger than the dialogue, forcing you to think and reflect on the themes touched. The story's focus is indirectly Deckard (Harrison Ford), and the mystery and intrigue of the desolate, emotionless, replicant society where K (Ryan Gosling) operates keeps pushing the story forward towards its climax.
Excellent performances by all actors, with Harrison Ford and especially Ana de Armis being the highlights, however I felt that Jared Leto's character Wallace was written to stylistically different from the other characters, and felt out of place compared to everyone else.
