Review of Blade Runner 2049 (2017) by James W — 15 Jan 2018
I can't say this is better than the original film. both are brilliant, so i'll just leave it at that.
Art has finally seeped it's way into the blockbuster market. this is a dark and uncompromising continuation of what is essentially a famous cult film, it takes it's time certainly. at nearly 3 hours it really has no choice.
It creates a sci-fi world so realistic that it made me think that this is a plausible cautionary tale to our own endeavors in the field of genetics and human cloning. all of the acting is excellent, the cinematography some of the best I can think of. this was nothing short of astonishing to see in theaters. can't wait to watch on my 4k tv.
