In a world full of unnecessary, lacklustre and forced out sequels. This film is a welcome breath of fresh air.
Is it totally necessary? No.
Am I happy it exists? Yes.
Stellar performances from all involved, visually stunning and the action scenes are just a joy to watch. 2049 had me smiling numerous times and had my undivided attention throughout.
The third act is a little sloppy, and there's some aspects which seem a little tacked on and rushed. However, they are quickly forgotten and washed away with the atmosphere this movie creates.
Highly recommend.
