Review of Blade Runner 2049 (2017) by Istvan S — 11 Oct 2017
Beautiful cinematography, excessive runtime, thin on story, hardly any Harrison Ford, retconned the original by proposing a rather absurd scenario, ends without a real conclusion and more questions than answers, leading viewers to ponder an additional sequel, or God forbid, a cinematic universe.
As a die hard fan of the original, which I own several versions of, I was disappointed. it's not a terrible movie, but it is badly flawed and does not live up to the hype. In short, this movie was completely unnecessary.
