Review of Blade Runner 2049 (2017) by Riley B.f H — 12 Nov 2017
This movie is visually stunning first and foremost. Every shot has meaning and adds to this complex and interesting narrative of the continuation of Ridley Scott's "Blade Runner". This movie shares a lot of the same themes as its predecessor, themes of what it means to be human, to live, and environmentalism.
But do not get it wrong, this movie is it's own and only adds to the impressiveness of these films. When Agent K goes from being a replicant to believing he is a human and realizing he is a replicant, he goes through a similar phase of change, becoming more human and having more humaneness than some of us.
This movie is great and never gives you solid answers to anything, and at times, somewhat confusing, but I believe that is what Villeneuve wants.
