Review of Blade Runner 2049 (2017) by Om Q — 07 Oct 2017

I'm probably in the minority, but this was one long and boring movie. Yes, the visuals were beautiful, the score was haunting, the references back to the original Blade Runner were unmistakable. But really, all the moping and meandering of Gosling's character were just so dour that it was hard to feel any sympathy for him apart from the scene where (spoiler) he thought he was The One.

The rest of the movie were herky jerky transitions between action scenes and illogical dialogues and monologues. I really wanted to like this movie, but I was so disappointed.
