Review of Blade Runner 2049 (2017) by Bob M — 08 Oct 2017
When films come out like the, lots of people say masterpiece, that there is nothing wrong with it, there is one flaw but besides that this movie is one of my favorites, a sequel that like many lately coming out years after the original and being just as good even better, that is something to be praised.
Blade Runner 2049 is my favorite film of the year so far, Denis Villeneuve has now become one of my favorite directors, making a film every year and all of them being great, but here I think he makes his second favorite film I still think Prisoners is better sorry, but the directing in here is just like Ridley Scott which produced it, if he made it and it wasn't shit it would probably be like this, the cinematography here is amazing Roger Deakins has done his best work here with every wide shot being art that you could put on your Mac background, the acting from everyone is amazing Ryan Gosling plays his role very well and Harrison Ford played a very broken character, his best work in years.
But Robin Wright, Jared Leto, and Drax the destroyer all play there roles great even Jared Leto who has had like three great performances and the rest being shit, this movie is perfect expect for one thing, when something is reveled instead of just showing it kind of tells you, something Ridley Scott didn't do in the original but thats a nitpick, this movie is huge almost like an epic and it should be remembered for years to come, I plead you to see this movie, if you don't that means studios are going to keep on making Transformers just because they do well.
