Review of Blade Runner 2049 (2017) by Robert A — 10 Oct 2017

This film, while atmospheric, is actually very disappointing. I read the plot on Wikipedia and discovered that there is so much to the story of the film that is not explained in the film, or at least not explained in a way that is easy to understand.

So I left the film feeling a bit confused and underwhelmed. Another thing, I thought we were going to see something new and original, but instead this film turned out to be a homage to the original film.

Despite this, I suspect that when I watch the film again I'll probably like it a lot more. But on the first viewing I didn't really enjoy it as much as the first film. Having said that, I didn't like the original the first time I saw that.

But now of course I think it's a classic.
