Anyone a fan of the original will love this. The cinematography is beautiful, in a world that looks bleak and lived in. The long establishing shots are breathtaking. If anything I just wanted more. But the slow burn of a detective noir is enough to keep you focused.
Probably my favourite Ryan gosling role since 'murder by numbers'.
