I love the original, although that love was hard won as I was a child the first time I watched it. The understanding, or my understanding, cane much later. Blade Runner 2049 gave me the same feelings instantly.

Walking out of a movie and questioning your understanding and being challenged is the mark of a good movie. It never felt long, I was hooked into the characters and concept. Everyone will take something new with every watch.

I love the idea that Replicants seem to resent AI as much as humans resent Replicants in the original. This is the most original sequel I've ever seen.
