Review of Blade Runner (1982) by Augustine H — 14 Aug 2013
Just like The Searchers, Blade Runner is widely acclaimed for establishing precedence and influential to later science fictions. The evilness of humans is first explored by Ridley Scott, instead of the old interpretation that technology will one day manipulate mankind.
Indeed, its future setting is the blueprint of modern science fictions and the dualistic nature of protagonists is widely adopted today as well; Harrison Ford's adventure is just unappealing to me.
Perhaps it's because the flaws of mankind are already social norms?
