Brilliant science fiction that re-defined the tech-noir genre & practically every other sci-fi since. While the plot is hard to follow at times (let's be honest, as bad as the narration is from the original cut, without it viewers would have no idea what's going on), Ridley Scott's vision of the future, with immense help from the excellent art direction, score & visual effects, make for a true classic.

It also nicely explores the themes of the original novel by Philip K. Dick about what it means to be human, and quite frankly improves on them ("Blade Runner" is one of the few films that is better than the book).

The cast is superb as well, with Harrison Ford giving one of his best performances as Deckard, and nicely allows himself to be beat up for most of the film (seriously, how can he be a replicant when this keeps happening?).

Rutger Hauer's Roy Batty is equally brilliant, playing him as both vicious & tragic, and his death scene remains one of the best ever performed. A film worth watching again & again, as it just gets better each time.
