Review of Blade Runner (1982) by Pluutozz — 29 May 2017
"Do androids dream of electric sheep?" Blade Runner, a flawed masterpiece. Visually stunning and way ahead its time. Ridley Scott returns to SciFi once again after his "Alien" film.
This one didn't turn out as good in my opinion, for several reasons. Though there are many things that makes this film a classic still. The philosphical themes, the visuals, the worldbuilding, the music by Vangelis, the tone, the mystery and so on.
.. Highly influential movie which mostly stood its test of time. It was not a succefull movie when it premiered back in the 80's and it undertook production hell aswell. Many people learned to apriciate in time a vhs releases and later through the "dirctors cut" and "final cut" dvd releases.
I would recommend checkin out the "Final Cut" version.
