It's easy to see why Blade runner is a seminal film in Sci-fi. The special effects almost hold up today. The difference between the theatrical and director's cuts is huge. I'd recommend watching the former before the latter to fully appreciate the difference.
Practically every sci-fi film since has tried to copy Blade runner. So you might get some deja vu watching Blade runner, but remember, it came first.
