Review of Blade II (2002) by Jarrett M — 21 Jan 2013
Blade 2 is a decent follow up to Blade, but I found it to be a bit too stylized and over the top. The cast is decent, Wesley Snipes plays the character for all it's worth, and most of the supporting characters tow the line nicely.
Some of the effects feel seriously dated, but for the most part they hold up nicely. While I have been a fan of most of Guillermo del Toro's work, this one just felt off for me. Decent, and at times fun, but not a great film.
