Review of Blade II (2002) by Nick Y — 12 May 2013
Made so little sense... 1) Blade knew Scud was familiar? Okay sure. 2) If the bomb on Reindhart's head wasn't a dud... why'd it not work when he pressed it the first time but only on Scud? And if it was Silver Nitrate.
.. how'd it kill Scud so badly when he's only a familiar? 3) So... Apparently Things can pierce through the norma ribcage of a Reaper but the bone around the heart is stronger? 4) If the heart was so vital.
.. why the fuck did it have a weakness on the side? You'd thing the entire heart would be incased in bone to protect it. 5) Why'd Nomak suddenly want to die after getting stabbed in the side? Just cuz he said it finally doesn't hurt? Cuz he finally put out of his misery? Because he managed to kill his father? Okay what a fuckin' cop out.
6) Nyssa didn't have to offer herself to Nomak... she could've fought and died like a warrior 7) Blade suddenly has compassion because of minor words Nyssa said about accepting being a vampire? Okay then.
8) Reindhart just stands there and watches Blade kill all the guards and familiars. Dude's got a fuckin' silver/stake shotgun. Kill him. Don't tell me he wanted the satisfaction of killing him hand to hand when he knew he was no match.
.. evidence from their first conflict. Tbh I was watching this film to just find out why this happened, who did what, reason behind this... and so on. It was really tedious to watch and I was just waiting for it to end.
