Not only written by the originals writer, David S. Goyer, but directed by Guillermo Del Toro! The Devil's backbone, Pan's Labyrinth, and the Hellboy movies are some of his other works.
This story is right on par with the first. Del Toro would later work with Ron Pearlman, who shines in this outing, in Hellboy and Luke Goss in Hellboy II.
A must see!
