Initially I considered Blade II to be an inferior sequel, too slow and the action scenes were too Matrix-esque, but after a few rewatches, I'd say it's on par with the first one.
Del Toro's love for monsters shines through, the Reapers are creepy and Nomak is an awesome villain.
