Review of Blade (1998) by Bene F — 28 Mar 2010
Blade has one of the most spectacular opening sequences and we are left under no illusions as to what the film will deliver. Wesley Snipes plays a mean mother-sucka who with the help of Kris Kristofferson devotes his life to hunting vampires who are trying to annihilate humanity and to get revenge on the vampire underworld that killed his mother.
Steven Dorff is impressive as the deliciously evil Deacon Frost and makes a more than bad enough bad guy to Snipes' hero. This movie is brutal, bloody, violent, bloody, with a great techno soundtrack.
Did I mention the blood?
