Based on the Marvel comic book, the story is about Eric Brooks also known as Blade aka Daywalker who is famous for being a Dhampir, half-human and half-vampire. Blade became this way when his mother was bitten during childbirth; his humanity came from his mother and his immortality came from the vampire.

With his mother dying, he is taken in by an old mentor named Abraham Whistler played by Kris Kristofferson. Immune to all vampire and human weaknesses but having their strengths and aging like a human, an adult Blade played by Wesley Snipes hunts hundreds of vampires night after night to avenge his mother's death.

Meanwhile Blade's arch-enemy Deacon Frost played by Stephen Dorff who is a vampire blood god plans to turn the entire human race into immortals by sacrificing the 12 pure-blood vampires leaders to resurrect La Magra and become the god's incarnation; and only Blade can stop them with an anti-vampire serum that Dr.

Karen Jenson played by N'Bushe Wright created. This is another one of those movies that just kicked pure ass! It is also one of my favourite vampire movies ever since. Blade gets a 10/10.
