Review of Blade (1998) by Gracjanski — 23 Oct 2021
Solid popcorn movie with some good fighting scenes, but too much style and therefore a bit annoying. Of course the story is superficial and could use some more explanations. Also most of the characters are superficial. In addition some of the scenes were feminist. It is clear, that this movie is for the masses and teens/young adults.
Wesley Snipes was very good, especially his fighting skills. Udo Kier as Dragonetti was perfect and should have much more time as this arrogant Deacon Frost. NBushe Wright as Karen was annoying and redundant.
