Review of Blade (1998) by Charlie D — 28 Apr 2012

I hold a deep love for this movie, I'll get that out of the way right now. I fully acknowledge that this is dumb fun, something you throw on with your friends to laugh at, but it's just too damn awesome to dislike.

The characters make uncharacteristically dumb choices sometimes, the dialogue is ridiculous and the acting is cheesier than Wallace and Gromit's journey to the moon, but that doesn't phase me.

In fact, it somehow adds to the effect. Plus, despite what I said about the dialogue earlier, Wesley Snipes utters one of the most amazing one-liners in action history near the end.
