Review of Blade (1998) by Chad L — 19 Nov 2012

This movie felt like a giant video game. A lot of one liners, violence, gore, and special effects. I'm not going to lie there were a couple scenes where I thought to myself "Actually that's kind of cool", but unfortunately those moments didn't happen enough for me to say that this is a good movie.

This is one of those situations where the director went for style over substance. Visually it's fun to look at but after a while it it starts to lose its edge a little bit. And the action sequences are fun for the most part but even they become repetitive and bland after a while.

I'm glad I can say that I've seen the movie but to be honest I probably won't be watching again any time soon.
