Review of Blackthorn (2011) by Sandy K — 08 Apr 2012
Based on the theory that Butch Cassidy survived the shootout with the Bolivian military in 1908, this is the story of an aging Cassidy (well played by Sam Shepard) deciding to return to America, and the desperate Spaniard he encounters who complicates his plans.
The spectacular Bolivian setting makes this a visually distinctive Western. I enjoyed it, but couldn't help wishing for a bit more closure at the end.
