Review of BlacKkKlansman (2018) by Ted D — 09 Aug 2018

This was marketed as a comedy, but I didn't find the subject matter funny at all. I understand that there was a message for those who could receive it, but I feel that there was an overwhelming atmosphere of white supremacy within the storyline which at times was off putting.

Was the intention to make EVERYONE feel uncomfortable? The "N" word was overused. I had no idea that this was a Spike Lee joint until the end... surprise! I'm giving it 4 stars for the acting and for the effort.

But I feel that the message could have presented more creatively. I'm keeping my 1 star to help lower my blood pressure after listening to racist slurs for 2 hours. :<.
