I agree with the content of this movie as everyone should, but Spike Lee is too on the nose. His bad guys are outrageously villainous, saying things that only a truly psychotic person would say. It indicates lazy writing.
If you want to get to bottom of racism, you might want to look at how these people came to the bigoted conclusion they did instead of just casting villainous cartoonyness on them. It's slow and preachy, ending in Charlottsville footage and Trump shouting some nonsense per usual.
As I said, too on the nose.... and boring.
