A very profound, serious documentary deciphering the nature behind killer whales.

I've only been to Sea World once as a small kid and never have I heard the incidents of these animals attacking their own trainers and killing them.

This movie asks the right kind of questions trying to figure out what makes killer whales lash out; is it something to do with being in captivity? does something inside snap while being encased in a closed space for so long? is it being isolated from family members in the wild?

Most notably the death of trainer Dawn Branchaeu is the most talked about topic and it really strikes a chord when you learn that SeaWorld of all things tried to cover up and fabricate her tragic death.

Things like this really adds insult to injury when the person isn't even around to give their own testimony as to how it occurred.

I find it crucial learning about the behavioral aspects of these animals, how intelligent they are, and how amazingly connected they are.

At the same time, are we has human beings so exploitve at this point in our lives; showing off these sea creatures just to make money and put on a good show?

It's probably impossible now to try to imagine a world where these water parks don't exist simply because we value these whales.

One thing is for sure; sure these creatures may all look the same but that doesn't mean that they act the same, speak the same, or feel the same, they all follow their own natural path.
