Review of Blackbeard's Ghost (1968) by Mike C — 01 Sep 2011
How would you feel if by trying to be a good guy you overbid on an alleged antique, said to belong to Elditha Teach, wife of the notorious pirate Edward Teach, affectionately known as Blackbeard (quote)? Cheesed off if you then sat on it and broke the handle even more so!
What if you found her book of spells and said one? Hmmm? How about it brings the ghost of the aforementioned pirate to you? Also you have not started the first day at your new job yet either!
By dint of slyness, cheating and cunning, wily old Blackbeard makes life difficult for the new college athletics coach, including getting him locked in the drunk tank! He has to fight a wily gangster who wants to open a casino on the island where the hotel is and is generally lower down than a snake's belly in a wagon rut.
Expect to see a shoot out with no guns and a hair raising roulette sequence! Another good laugh live action film!
