Review of Black Widow (2021) by Filmanwalt — 24 Jul 2021
I really enjoyed seeing Natasha Romanoff again. The film just throws around with action, but also knows how to allow for quieter moments. So I felt this "family" constellation really strong. In particular, the father (David Harbor) was able to cause some laughs. The repeated references to the Avengers were very amusing. Florence Pugh also plays a good role here, and in general I really liked it as an actor.
All of this about Natasha's past was interesting and the station at the end was very impressive. In general, the film has quite a few changes of scenery and never gets boring. I have to say, however, that the action was way too exaggerated at times. "Way over the top". I also have to criticize the intro, it was just too long and a very annoying introduction to a film (I've hardly seen it like this before).
The film asks a few questions or doesn't really answer them. I wanted a bit more content.
The film reminded me of Mission: Impossible and I found it really good in its last offshoot. Black Widow 7/10 spiders.
I like e.g. better than the Captain Marvel movie.
