Review of Black White + Gray: A Portrait of Sam Wagstaff and Robert Mapplethorpe (2007) by Dan B — 02 Mar 2009
Interesting look into the lives of sam wagstaff and robert mapplethorpe and their influence on the new york art scene of the 70's and 80's and personal relationship. I found the style to be a little stilted and awkward with too much reliance on patti smith's interview to carry the doco thru.
could have been better directed and edited.
