Review of Black Water (2008) by Ryan C — 06 Jul 2009
Like most monster movies, a certain degree of sense has to be suspended and this is definitely no exception. The first half of the movie delivers everything expected, a tense, fear-fuelled tale of a group trying to survive above croc waters.
However, the second half of the movie makes that common monster-movie mistake of going that one step too far, seeing the movie become almost comedy-like towards the end for anybody that knows anything of crocs (whatsoever).
As far as horror monster movies go I've seen worse and for the majority of the movie this was worth a watch. Just be prepared for a certain level of silliness near the end.
