Review of Black Water (2008) by Brian B — 24 Oct 2009
The film is similar to the 2004 sleeper hit "Open Water" but with a crocodile instead of sharks. Like "Jaws" a generation before the directors wisely keep the crocodile off camera for much of the running time.
The creature's presence is felt with a subtle wake in the water or off camera sound effects building suspense until the next attack.
