Review of Black Water (2008) by Tom K — 28 Mar 2011
Add a reviewFrom the description, I figured this was going to be just another oversized killer mutant animal movie. I was pleasantly surprised at the psychological terror this film brought. "Black Water" preys on two of our utmost fears: fear of the unknown and being eaten alive.
The plot is not as predictable as other films and none of the characters seem like throwaways. This crocodile is the most terrifying movie monster I've experienced... especially since it could be anywhere at any time and you have no idea where it is, nor who will be the next victim.
This film is realistic almost every way that you can believe the tagline that the story's based on actual events. So if you want a good scare without the supernatural or fake monster cgi, definitely check this one out! (optional)...
