The performances were strong, but the story just was not credible. It relied too much on the idea that to be a great artist, one must be at least a little bit mad. Although many artists have fought madness, it's hardly a requirement.
Furthermore, much of Nina's madness was hard to accept. Finally, I didn't find any of the characters likable.
