Review of Black Swan (2010) by Teddy V — 22 Feb 2013
Barely watchable and I've tried three times to get all the way through it. I've got no idea where this 87% (it's going down!) approval rating is coming from; the sex scenes? They're too short.
This is the cinematic equivalent of the Velvet Underground's eponymous "Andy Warhol" album, everyone says it's great, but no one actually has a fucking clue why. Pretending to understand and enjoy something because everyone else says it's great is a lame lesson in conformity.
