Review of Black Swan (2010) by Augustine H — 27 May 2013
Like his previous work "Requiem for a Dream", Darren Aronofsky adapts a very melanchonic keynote throughout the entire movie. The character of Nina, which is flawlessly portrayed by Natalie Portman, is gradually broken down by her internal fear and envy.
Her dark side is being exposed and led to her self-destruction at the end. It's a movie frightening from within, but you just can't turn a blind eye to the graceful ballet dancing, nor ignore the delicate Portman.
