Review of Black Swan (2010) by Sean D — 09 Feb 2016

Fuck it. It gets five stars. I'm just going to give it that. I wasn't bored in the slightest. It was really good. It was a creepy, disturbing, horrific, psychological, thriller, suspense, drama, horror.

And I couldn't have asked or expected anything less from Darren Aronofsky. This man knows how to push all the right buttons in all the right ways, he didn't direct a lot of films. But when he does make a film, it's generally a smash and it's generally deep and mentally and psychologically disturbing.

Very good cast, very good acting. Were you team Natalie or team Mila? Did you not care? Were you excited for the one scene? Yeah, he didn't disappoint. This film is nuts and will tear and pull you around in different directions, but it's simply fantastic and beautiful.
