Review of Black Swan (2010) by Ethan P — 13 Dec 2015
Black Swan is an intensely dark and beautiful film. It has a raw emotion and deep complexity that was intoxicating. Natalie Portman's character is a fragile, repressed woman who's career and controlling mother are taking a toll on her sanity.
The imagery and tension of her hallucinations was fascinating and the depths of her madness was awesome to watch. It might be overdone, melodramatic and over the top, but I loved it.
