Review of Black Sunday (1960) by Chris S — 08 Feb 2008
Perhaps Bava's best known film, and for good reason as Black Sunday (AKA The Mask Of Satan AKA La Maschera Del Demonio) is a monochrome must-see masterpiece. I especially like the subtle effect where Princess Asa attempts to drain Katia's life from her; it almost looks like CGI, which is not bad for a film almost fifty years old!
