(2007) Black Snake Moan.
DRAMA/ MUSICAL.
Very good drama and character study with some good blues played and sung from Samual Jackson! The film has no plot with it's basic premise of chaining a young girl up, so she can 'straight up and fly right'. The chemistry or the rapport between it's two stars builds itself from there! This film would've never have worked without the performances of it's two stars of Samuel Jackson and Christina Ricca (singing was quite horrendous though). The only person that I felt typcasted is real life pop/ soul singer Justin Timberlake playing Ricci's boyfriend- you have to wonder why Justin should stick to singing pop songs and stay away away from acting since it's terrible, especially when he's singing "Blues" songs. Still a very intruiging film and an adult oriented film nonethless.
