Review of Black Snake Moan (2006) by Arthur R — 11 Dec 2017
A difficult film to enjoy as it teeters on the brink of morality and freedom. The two leads are brilliant, particularly Ricci, but the story never quite fulfills its early promise. What could be a meaningful character study wafts off towards the end. Still, the mood, the music and the settings are spot on.
