Review of Black Sheep (2006) by Private U — 06 Sep 2008
Genetically-engineered New Zealand sheep turn on their creators and attack a group of young, rural Kiwis. Hysterical, exciting, and disgustingly gory. Peter Jackson fans will feel right at home with this one, director King goes for a very similar B-movie atmosphere like Jackson's early days.
Great special effects work by WETA, I especially appreciated seeing some practical/mechanical work still being done in this millennium rather than CGI. A ton of nods to zombie/monster movies for film buffs as well.
Oh, and the ending had me in stitches! Highly recommended for the curious.
